 PILGRIMAGE TO MARDI HIMAL HIGH CAMP(3,600 M)

Pilgrimage  is a journey take to a holy place,that places are regarded as holy by religious communities,holy places can be temple ,stupa in this case I regard Mardi himal and its surrounding mountains including Machapuchare himal as holy object object that has highest regard in my heart as object that made me realize ,that I need to change and become a better person.

Pilgrimage is a journey for mind and body, though my journey was a trek to mountain camp, The journey has change me as a person.There is a kind of peace that you can get from traveling to new places.Peaceful that comes from getting away from monotonic ,usual routine of daily life.

The excitement of being in a new place ,and a sense of how big our world really is most of the places that we have never visited and will never get chance to visit always fill our heart with a sense of gloom of our life with a impending end.

                         But such is the  nature of life ,I decided that I should try to go to new places now and then hence my trip to Mardi base camp and next destination will be God knows where which is another character of life sense of mystery about what will happen in future,nobody knows.

                         Traveling is a joy in its own,To travel is to create new memories ,memories that we will carry for the rest of our life.In its own it is an escape from everything ,from ones chattering mind to family home and every thing .When one of my friend suggest of going for trekking on the newly open route to Mardi himal base camp,which is beneath the unconquered mountain Machapuchare I was so excited ,was so much in hurry to leave everything behind and just go to that place.

The journey was a hurried one,that gave me a sense of how difficult  trekking is, how much preparation is required ,along with equipment.It is important it is to decide on proper shoes.Although We couldn't reach to the top of the base camp because of weather condition the journey to high camp was worthwhile.I had to remain at the high camp because of my slippery shoes and feeling of vertigo.

Stamina and energy along with the preparation required for trekking deserve a another post.

All in all desire to reach ones destination plays an crucial role.The journey made me realize of venerability that is present inside me I am complex and I am human.

It was a pilgrimage ,a journey of self discovery,a spiritual journey ,a journey that change you makes you more mature to become person that you always wanted to be.

To Travel means not only to reach a new destination but also to become a new self when you reach that destination.

That why I want to call this journey to Mardi himal high camp  a pilgrimage that made me see the world in a brighter perspective .
